Just thought I'd pass along a few extras that didn't make the paper from my conversation with Nick Johnson on Wednesday. He arrived in Viera early to work with new hitting coach Rick Eckstein, and said that although he'll have to tape up his surgically-repaired right wrist most of the season, he isn't worried it will limit him.

It's clear the Nationals are presenting the Adam Dunn signing as the move that vindicated their offseason. It remains to be seen whether Dunn's power will make a difference in the standings, but he certainly gives Washington the kind of bat it hasn't had before.
