Redskins’ London Fletcher also dealing with balance problems

London Fletcher's streak of 231 regular-season NFL games played could be in jeopardy Sunday. The Washington Redskins middle linebacker missed Wednesday's practice with balance problems to go with a sore right hamstring suffered in last Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz’s 77-yard touchdown Sunday, with Madieu Williams (41) and Josh Wilson in his wake, was one of seven pass plays covering at least 40 yards the Redskins have surrendered this season. Redskins defense has had many happy returns

Madieu Williams used whatever footing he had left last Sunday to dive for the end zone as he was pushed out of bounds. The Washington Redskins' free safety finished his interception return by extending the ball with both hands. Sure enough, he knocked over the pylon. And when Williams got up and saw the referee signaling a touchdown, the celebration was on. Published October 18, 2012

Playing archrivals late is seen as a bonus by Redskins

During the summer, when Robert Griffin III was all expectations and hype, before he electrified fans with his speed or helped the Washington Redskins finally put up crooked numbers on the scoreboard, New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora had a message for the new franchise quarterback. Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has put DeJon Gomes’ hit behind him

The play appears so innocuous in the stat book now.
