PICKET: Talk of recount permeates WI recall race

The Wisconsin Gubernatorial recall election could very well mimic results seen two years ago when Republican Scott Walker won the governor's office. According to the Associated Press, Governor Walker defeated Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett by five points and sources are telling the Drudge Report that the rematch today between the two men could produce similar results. A recount would be triggered if one of the two leads by one half of a percentage point of less.

GREEN: Occupy DC meets U.S. marshals in controversial eviction

Occupy DC and U.S. marshals clashed today at a residence in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC. Marshals were executing an eviction ordered by the DC Superior Court. Members of the Occupy movement locked arms and legs and blocked the path of law enforcement with the intention of forcing the cops to physically remove them from the property.

The Washington Times affiliated radio program America's Morning News (AMN) received a hearty laugh from AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka in mid May, when he was asked if a victory in Wisconsin for Republican Governor Scott Walker against Democrat Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett on Tuesday, during the recall election, meant the labor union leader would consider resigning.

PICKET: DC Comics outs a Green Lantern...from the 1940's

The big secret is out. The New York Post is reporting that DC Comics original Green Lantern – of the past 70 years - will come out of the closet as a gay man in next week’s issue of "Earth 2." This particular character, Alan Scott, his alter ego, is being re-woven into the series through obvious agenda politics, but most comic book readers will tell you it is hardly a huge victory for LGBT activists hoping for a gay Superman or gay Batman.
