Reagan’s Independence Day reminder

Patriotism is still alive and well. No, really. A new survey reveals 78% of Americans currently describe themselves as "patriotic." See the Poll du Jour at column's end for the breakdown -- which reveals that, yes, Republicans are more in touch with their inner patriot than Democrats. Published July 1, 2021

Trump-dependent media feels the pinch

The news media misses former President Donald Trump. His absence from the White House and policymaking has put an end to endless coverage and automatic audiences who clung to every Trump-centric story whether they liked the 45th president or not. Now comes the big reality check. Published June 29, 2021

A true Trump loyalist speaks out

Those who continue to back former President Donald Trump have a deep attachment to the man himself, and continue to revere the social change he brought with him as candidate, president and political influence. Published June 28, 2021

The Trump epic continues

The media cannot stay away from former President Donald Trump -- many billing his Ohio rally on Saturday night as the start of a "revenge tour" against foes and political rivals. In reality, Mr. Trump's next stop is the southern U.S. border with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, an event that appears to be centered on fact-finding over revenge. Published June 27, 2021

Kamala Harris’ ‘politically safe’ border visit

Vice President Kamala Harris is finally making her way to the troubled border between the U.S. and Mexico and the optics of this long-awaited event are not particularly good. The Republican Party has already given her a new title. Published June 24, 2021

A publishing haven for conservative authors

There are only a handful of publishing houses which specialize in unapologetic conservative fare. That field, however, has just expanded in a major way. All Seasons Press is now a reality, vowing to "reject cancel culture and celebrate American ideals." Published June 21, 2021

Inside the Beltway: Faith & Freedom Coalition strikes back

The annual Road to Majority Policy Conference is now underway in Orlando, Florida, with a clear mission and a stellar cast which includes former Vice President Mike Pence, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. A multitude of lawmakers, pastors, policy experts, authors and activists also will attend alongside such media heavies as Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, and radio hosts Eric Metaxas and Michael Medved. Inside the Beltway: Liberal media bias gets global condemnation

The Aussies get it. Liberal bias in the U.S. has become so pronounced that it has attracted international attention. Critics from many miles away -- many, many miles away -- have taken notice. Australian broadcasters discussing this phenomenon on Sky News this week blasted the coverage of President Biden during the G7 summit -- noting in no uncertain terms that former President Trump got no such courtesy when he made an appearance at the event in 2018. Voters say news media protects Biden

Well, surprise. Almost two-thirds of likely U.S. voters -- 63% -- now agree that the mainstream media is "protecting President Biden" by not asking him to weigh in on tough policy questions about serious issues, such as the national debt or the southern U.S. border crisis. Published June 14, 2021
