Amidst the controversy of the proposed Ground Zero Mosque and a Florida Pastor Terry Jones who planned and later cancelled burning Korans on Saturday, the emotional wounds of a horrific day 9 years ago remain in the spotlight. Florida pastor 'suspends' 9/11 Koran burning

Rev. Terry Jones the Gainesville Florida Pastor who planned to burn Korans on September 11, announced early Wednesday evening he is canceling the event...for now. Initially, the Florida pastor claimed to have struck a deal with supporters of the Ground Zero Mosque, but after his assertions were refuted by those behind mosque, Pastor Jones began reassessing his plans to cancel the Koran burning.

Attendees at administration event bring terror ties?

Last week, media reports surfaced that the Obama administration sponsored workshops for controversial Muslim organizations last Tuesday that would help the groups gain “direct access” to government programs. The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is cited as one of the sponsors of the event in an email from Islamic Society of North America about the event.

Gong towards the official end of summer this weekend, Democrats scramble to re-work their failed economic message known as “recovery summer.” While the private sector added 67,000 jobs, it is only a drop in the bucket.
