Good thing I didn't give you starting lineups when they first came out nearly three hours ago, because the Nats made a switch. Aaron Boone, who was supposed to start at third base at bat fifth, was scratched with a sore left knee.

Good news: The Nats are back home after a three-city, nine-game, 10-day trip through three different time zones. Bad news: They just got swept by the Minnesota Twins and blew a chance to post a winning record on the trip, settling for 4-5.

Marrero update

Just wanted to pass along a quick update on Potomac first baseman Chris Marrero: The team placed him on the disabled list this morning with a sprained right ankle, calling up Bill Rhinehart from Hagerstown to take his place, according to a press release.

North Carolina jumped out to a 2-0 lead over LSU in the top of the first last night before rain forced the game to be suspended until tonight at 7 p.m. College World Series officials waited more than two hours before deciding to halt the game and push the schedule back for the rest of the series leading up to the championship.
