Robot priests, A.I. gods transforming the world of worship
Mindar is the name of a new priest tasked with delivering sermons and overseeing religious ceremonies at a 400-year-old Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan. Mindar is not human. Mindar is a robot. And it's just the latest sign of A.I. creeping into religions around the world. Published September 17, 2019
Democrats, on Brett Kavanaugh, trying to frighten future judicial picks
Here's a question: If President Donald Trump nominated you to the U.S. Supreme Court -- or to any high-ranking judicial office, for that matter -- would you seize the moment and say yes? After watching the takedown of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, both Part One and now, the emerging Part Two, no doubt for many, the answer would be no thanks. Published September 16, 2019
Brett Kavanaugh impeachment call a grotesque media-Democrat smear
Two reporters for The New York Times wrote that one of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's former Yale classmate allegedly saw him "with his pants down" at a college party. And that was all campaigning Democrats needed. Away they went; impeachment, they cried. Published September 16, 2019
Democrats still lack chops to beat Donald Trump
Democrats, ten of 'em, took to the ABC News stage for their third debate to offer up the best and the brightest and the most of their mostest to defeat Donald Trump in 2020, and they came up with this: The president's a racist. Really? Let the congratulatory parties for Trump's reelection begin now. Published September 14, 2019
Joe Biden’s teeth took away all his political bite
If Joe Biden even had a chance in Thursday evening's debate, it was swallowed up in his on-air struggle with his teeth. Poor Joe. He thinks he's the heir apparent who simply has to show up and voila, all the ballots will waft gently to his feet. This was Hillary Clinton's mistake. Published September 13, 2019
Beto O’Rourke hands GOP, NRA golden ticket
Thanks, Beto. "Hell yes, we're going to take your AR-15, your AK-47," he said, on television, on the Democratic Party debate stage, for all to hear and see. "We're not going to allow them to be used against fellow Americans anymore." It doesn't get any clearer than that. Published September 12, 2019
Elizabeth Warren’s gasp-worthy slap at the rich
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, on the stage and answering questions about her visions of health care, slipped in a rather significant -- and somber -- remark about the rich in this country that goes to the heart of socialist delusion. She said, in essence: the rich don't work. The rich don't work hard. Published September 12, 2019
Muslim kids in Philly dance to chopping heads jihad song — and we still don’t know why
In April, a group of kids at the Muslim American Society Islamic Center in Philadelphia were captured on camera dancing and lip-syncing to a happy little ditty of chopping heads and leading armies of Allah and torturing enemies and other Islamic political and religious principles. And the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations announced an investigation. Investigation indeed. Now: Where are the results? Published September 12, 2019
Democratic debates offer good drinking games
Perhaps the most interesting aspect that's emerged about the Democrats' third debate has nothing to do with candidates or policy, and everything to do with an email ABC sent to the party, warning the FCC frowns on televised drops of f-bombs and the like. And that, of course, opens doors wide to drinking game opportunities. Published September 12, 2019
Marianne Williamson’s hot mic a-ha moment
Democratic presidential contender Marianne Williamson let slip during a hot mic moment in her interview on "America This Week" with host Eric Bolling that conservatives -- and gasp, even Fox News conservatives -- were nicer to her than the leftists and liberals in her own political camp. This is such a significant a-ha moment. Published September 12, 2019
Declaring war would keep us in peace
If America declared war, America would never be at war. Well, maybe not never. But hardly ever. If Congress didn't cede its constitutional authority to declare war to the president, and to the president's influencing powers, we'd at least have clarity on the conflicts we currently face, and know when to get in, when to get out. Jennifer Aniston’s InStyle ‘blackface’ brouhaha
Hollywood girl-next-door favorite Jennifer Aniston, billed on this month's cover of InStyle as "Babe Eternal," has ignited a social media firestorm over her retouched magazine photographed face among those who think she looks too black for her little white good. Honestly, this is one brouhaha that doesn't need to be. Published September 11, 2019
Pete Buttigieg’s twisted Bible teaching on abortion
Mayor Pete Buttigieg ought to crack open the Bible, turn to Psalm 139, and read how God formed humans "fearfully and wonderfully" -- and after, take a second look at his views on abortion and repent, said his brother-in-law, Rhyan Glezman, an evangelical pastor from Michigan, on Fox News. Good advice. Published September 11, 2019
New York Times glorifies kiddie drag queens
The New York Times just published a story that was headlined, "Sashaying Their Way Through Youth" and billed for readers to "[m]eet the rising drag stars of America. They're tweens." On a Richter Scale of Horrors, with one being a slight gasp and 10, a blood-curdling scream, this piece hits at an 11. Published September 10, 2019
Rashida Tlaib’s ‘political revolution’ is treason masked as justice
Rep. Rashida Tlaib called for a complete transformation of America's government -- a "political revolution" and "economic" overhaul to change the capitalistic system and, as she framed it, to put the people, not the corporations, back in power. This is treasonous. It's treason wrapped in a social justice ribbon. Published September 10, 2019
Free speech in a mentally deranged age
The thing about trampling individual rights is knowing when to stop -- knowing when to put on the brakes before the trampled, swept by surges of self-empowerment or insanity or a combination of the two, turn around and start trampling the trampers. Sen. Kamala Harris just got caught up in this very conundrum. Published September 10, 2019
Google, Facebook investigations bound to lead nowhere
Free-market purists may not like it, but when it comes to reeling in Google and Facebook and putting them in their conservative censoring places, recently announced antitrust investigations may prove the hook. Then again, maybe not. It's not like we've not been down this investigative road before. Published September 9, 2019
Democrats seize on LOST-like ‘Blue New Deal’ to control oceans
If you thought the Green New Deal was bad enough, wait. Democrats, led by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, have now turned lustful eyes toward the oceans, hoping to create the same type government regulations over water with a "Blue New Deal" that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's now-famous Green New Deal imposed over land. Published September 9, 2019
Corporations upsetting the Constitution
In recent days, in rapid succession, retail giant Walmart, the Kroger grocery chain and Walgreens pharmacy, as well as CVS and Wegman's Food Markets, all announced curbs on open firearms' carry on their premises, with exceptions, that is, carved for police and other law-enforcement. Cannibalism: Scientist says eating humans could save earth
A behavioral scientist from Sweden named Magnus Soderlund argued in a recent presentation that the way to combat climate change, save the planet and secure the earth for scores of upcoming generations is to -- get this -- eat people. This guy's whacked. Published September 6, 2019
