Faith leaders skew Bible to oppose SNAP reform
Faith leaders are coming out in full force to oppose the Republican-sponsored Farm Bill released in the House that imposes stricter work requirements on those receiving food stamps. Do not be fooled by their so-called Christian arguments in opposition of this bill. Their arguments are neither Christian nor common sense. Published April 19, 2018
Barack Obama fake news video highlights dangers of AI
Fake news, meet artificial intelligence. A video created by Oscar-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele and released by BuzzFeed appears to show Barack Obama referencing the movie "Black Panther," remarking on HUD Secretary Ben Carson and calling President Donald Trump a "total and complete dips--." But it was all fake. And get ready for the floodgates to open on more AI-assisted fake videos and audio. Published April 18, 2018
James Comey ought to be prosecuted, say 46 percent
James B. Comey, former FBI director, is facing fire from the people, apparently, for his brazen attacks on President Donald Trump, for his outspoken criticisms of White House ways of doing business and -- for leaking to the media. Rasmussen Reports found in a recent survey 46 percent of those polled think Comey ought to be prosecuted for leaking to the press. Published April 18, 2018
Barbara Bush — even the left respected and grieves her
Barbara Bush, the "silver fox" of modern-day politics -- so-dubbed for her snowy white hair and cut-to-the-chase manner of speaking -- has died, leaving a legacy that will be talk of the town for the next few days. Even the left is grieving her passing. And in this day and time of vicious politicking -- that ain't small potatoes. Published April 18, 2018
France’s futile hope to ‘reform’ Islam
So France, feeling the pinch and reeling from its umpteenth terror attack in recent times -- a police officer was just killed by a gunman who claimed ties to ISIS -- has now announced a new pitch to pacify the radicals of Islam and help integrate them into courteous society. Good luck with that. Published April 17, 2018
Donald Trump is winning — that’s why the left is unraveling
President Donald Trump rode into office on the wings, in part, of a promise to clean up the Deep State, drain the swamp and boot from places of influence those who've worked behind the scenes to undo America's greatness, one unconstitutional usurpation at a time. It must be working. How else to explain how nuts the left's been acting of late? Published April 17, 2018
Thomas Jefferson statue smearing as ‘Racist + Rapist’ despicable and revisionist
Thomas Jefferson was a complicated guy. So smearing his statue, as vandals just did, with the red painted words of "Racist + Rapist" at the University of Virginia, the college he actually founded, fails to take into account the complicated twists and turns of his beliefs, the pragmatic nature of his political leanings, the ultimate efforts he made to ban slavery from a significant portion of America. Nancy Pelosi’s off-the-wall ‘Mueller to be fired’ fundraiser
Nancy Pelosi is pleading for money based on President Donald Trump's firing of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Only thing is: Trump has no intention of firing Robert Mueller. Published April 16, 2018
Donald Trump, with all his baggage, still wins with evangelicals

James Comey tell-all strikes as revengeful rip of Donald Trump
It's not that the nation doesn't already know of James Comey's utter contempt for President Donald Trump. But there's something about putting hatred to print that makes it all the more vicious. And that's what Comey seems to have done with his new tell-all book, poised to hit bookstores across the country. It's his way of getting the last word with the president -- his way of exacting a revenge for being fired. Published April 13, 2018
Killer robots and the Pandora’s box they’d bring
Lest you think the idea of killer robots scouring the planet in search of targets to terminate is simply the stuff of science fiction, think again. Published April 12, 2018
Newt Gingrich goes there — compares FBI’s raid of Michael Cohen to Nazis
Newt Gingrich, former speaker of the House, ripped into the FBI for its raid on President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, comparing the federal action to the Nazi regime. And insofar as the rather ridiculous raids on Cohen's files go -- he's got a bit of a point. These are moves that ring more of Gestapo, less of constitutional America -- more of police state, less of republic, land of the law. Published April 12, 2018
Rush Limbaugh’s right: Firing Robert Mueller ‘worst thing Trump could do’
Rush Limbaugh said during a recent talk show segment that firing Robert Mueller is the "worst thing" President Donald Trump could do. That's true. Firing Mueller would play right into the Democrats' hands. Published April 12, 2018
John Boehner’s new, hypocritical marijuana money-making gig
John Boehner's got a new gig -- and it's tied to selling marijuana. How nice. Look at this headline from Quartz: "420,000 people were arrested for selling marijuana while John Boehner ran Congress. That speaks volumes, but can all be summed in a single word just the same: Hypocrite? Published April 11, 2018
Mark Zuckerberg’s misguided turn toward AI to define ‘hate speech’
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told members of Congress -- as well as a rapt TV audience -- that "hate speech" is tough to define, but within a few years, he expects artificial intelligence to assume a greater role in sifting the nuances of social media content on the company's pages and begin red-flagging and booting posts deemed hateful and hate-filled. This is hardly comforting. Published April 11, 2018

The godless, leftist nature of artificial intelligence
The fast-moving field of artificial intelligence development is a lucrative one -- a head-spinning one -- an oft-surprising and exciting one. But peer past the frenzy of media headlines announcing the latest discoveries and newest breakthroughs and it's sad but true, the world of science, including technology, is a field dominated by godless leftists, too.
