Donald Trump appoints Lora Shiao, Clare Linkins to lead U.S. counterterrorism efforts

On Monday, something very important happened for the country relevant to national security in general and certainly the impact of the origination of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell made a historic choice and named a woman, Lora Shiao, a widely respected and longtime intelligence expert, to lead the National Counterterrorism Center.

Lessons from the coronavirus pandemic

To say the last few weeks have been surreal would be an understatement. In January, the Democratic Party was having hearings in the House of Representatives on the impeachment of President Trump. That same month, as the bureaucratic establishment was wasting our time with dumb partisan politics, a deadly virus from China had been unleashed on the world.

Blaming Donald Trump for the 'Wuhan Virus'

It's one thing to notice the media focusing on limited, panic-inducing headlines and narratives. We see them do that every day during this Trump era, as the left relies on panic and victimhood to control people. Controlling most of the legacy media is a necessary part of being able to implement that strategy.

Bernie Sanders' embrace of Castro and socialism

After Bernie Sanders' Nevada caucus win, Americans were reminded just how strange and unprepared the senator from Vermont really is. During a "60 Minutes" interview, he unleashed a nonsense word salad when pressed to explain how he would pay for all of his socialist policy ideas.

Democratic whining and identity politics

In this season of election primaries, Democratic women who are running for president have been complaining in this 21st century of racism and sexism hampering their bids for the highest office in the land.

CNN outdoes itself with arrogant and smug ridicule of Trump supporters

The extraordinary display of bigotry and contempt for Trump voters presented by CNN's Don Lemon and two guests -- New York Times columnist Wajahat Ali and Republican ex-strategist Rick Wilson -- aired Saturday night and went viral on social media with one video garnering more than 10 million views, and counting. And now it has been made into a very effective political ad by the GOP.

Women's March shrinks to a mere 10K Trump haters who can't acknowledge the president's successes

You might have missed news of the 2020 manifestation of the so-called Women's March, the anti-Trump mob masquerading as a women's rights effort. Launched in 2017 after President Trump's win for the presidency and the second abject failure of Hillary Clinton's run for the office, you didn't hear much about this year's event from the legacy media because it collapsed under the weight of its own hypocrisy and fraud.

Legislating failure and chaos with bail reform in New York

While the nation has been distracted by the actions of Democrats in Washington as they continue to try to remove a duly-elected president from his office, that same political party continues to put its stamp of chaos on the city and state of New York.

How Democrats stir bigotry and division

At the end of this second decade of the new millennium, it's natural to draw up our lists indicating our favorite movies, music and draw up our prognostications about what last year's polls mean about this year's politics. Yet, strangely and horrifically, the last month of 2019 provides the best overall predictor for what's ahead in 2020.

The enduring spirit and optimism of the American people

On this Christmas Day, if we were to reflect on the last few years, we would recall the unending attacks on our character and motivations by the political and media establishments. During this time of gratitude and reflection, I'm sure that we agree to once and for all reject the evil cartoonish versions of ourselves perpetuated by a jealous and panicked establishment and instead focus on who we really are.

Obama's dangerous myth about women and leadership

Democratic reliance on dangerous myths and falsehoods is no longer a bug but a feature of their narrative and philosophy. Case in point are comments made this week by former President Barack Obama. At an Obama Foundation Leaders event in Singapore, Mr. Obama, relying on gender stereotypes, perpetuated an undeniable, and dangerous, myth that women are not just better than men, but inherently better leaders.

Why Nikki Haley's revelations about Rex Tillerson and John Kelly must be investigated

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley has made quite the splash with her new book, "All Due Respect," hitting the shelves this week, within which she reveals that former Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson and former White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly approached her in the White House in an attempt to recruit her to be part of a cell undermining President Trump.
