What I know about the new Honda Ridgeline include its a smooth and easy ride, it's a mid-size pick-up and it has been fully redesigned for 2017. That's a lot for this Honda re-introduction plus the fact that you can also haul to your heart's content since the 2017 Honda Ridgeline can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Indulge me (and yourself) just a little as you read my column because I am going to describe to you the details of the 2017 Rolls-Royce Dawn. If you have an extra $400,000 laying around, then don't hesitate to take one of these immaculate driving machines home with you. Otherwise, put it on your bucket list.

If you are looking for a compact sedan that plays nice with others but still stands out from the crowd, the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta could be your new darling. Case in point, those German driving characteristics spill over into the personality of the Jetta and the high points include a large backseat and an engine that is smaller than in years past. Look for the turbocharged engine choices on several of the trim options too.

It looks like a classy sedan and it is, but the 2016 BMW 3 Series, and particularly the 340i that I drove, is a sporty rendition of a luxury sedan offering comfort, style and power behind the wheel. This year, all the 3 Series offerings have been tweaked a bit inside and out with not only suspension improvements, but also a name change from 335i to 340i, a new stereo offering and some fun new optional packages.
