DNC head open to easing Obamacare deadlines

The chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee said Wednesday that she is open to the idea of extending the enrollment period for Obamacare in light of the problems that have made it hard for people to sign up for the new health care program.

A poll released Wednesday among likely voters gives Democrat Terry McAuliffe a 7-point lead over Republican Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II with less than two weeks to go in the Virginia governor's race and one day before the two men square off in their third and final formal debate at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.

Colo. pro-pot group 'declares' joint handout in campaign filing

In what is an American electoral first, a Colorado organization fighting new taxes on legal marijuana has filed an unusual campaign finance report after a watchdog group complained that the group's decision to give away free joints at a political rally could be considered a "campaign contribution."
