School choice returns to D.C.

Understandably, a number of conservatives are not happy with the current budget deal Speaker of the House John Boehner, Ohio Republican, agreed to with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, and President Obama late last week on Friday, but one good thing that Mr. Boehner did stand tough on through the budget dealings was bringing back the D.C. school choice program.

Sen. Sessions calls Obama budget 'Irresponsible'

Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee Senator Jeff Sessions, Alabama Republican, released a statement on Sunday afternoon in response to President Barack Obama's spending plan. The Alabama senator called it the "most irresponsible spending plan any president ever put forward."

Dem Congresswoman calls for federal investigation of new votes in Wis.

The roller coaster ride of a race in Wisconsin has yet to come to a stop. Although Democrat favored Joanne Kloppenburg announced victory, albeit by a slim margin, on election night last week, nevertheless by late Thursday afternoon, questions arose about thousands of un-counted votes in Waukesha county that gave Justice David Prosser over a 7,000 vote lead. Now, Congresswoman Tammy Baldwon, Wisconsin Democrat, wants a federal investigation into the 14,000 votes that were discovered in Waukesha late last week.
