To drill or not to drill
My take on this issue will probably upset almost everyone, but somebody's got to say it...
Prospect Q&A - Brandon Hicks, Atlanta Braves
The main things pro teams look for in a shortstop are the abilities to field and throw. The Atlanta Braves knew they had a player who could perform both of those tasks in 2007 third-round pick Brandon Hicks, who showed good range while playing for Texas A&M and flashed a 90-plus mile per hour heater as a pitcher in junior college. What they might not have realized was just how much pop Hicks had in his bat. By Jay LeBlanc.

Buzbee's season over
Coach Jim Zorn just confirmed that Alex Buzbee ruptured his right Achilles', joining fellow defensive end Phillip Daniels in suffering a season-ending injury on the first day of camp.
Yep, it's football season
Lots to discuss in depth over the next week or so (when you bring six tape recorders, there's a lot to listen to).
Daniels done, Taylor coming? (UPDATED AGAIN)
We just got a tip that defensive end Phillip Daniels tore at least the ACL in his left knee.
Daniels update
Coach Jim Zorn said that defensive end Phillip Daniels, who injured his left knee on the first play of 7 on 7 drills this morning, had "a bit of a hyperextension."
Daniels goes down
Coach Jim Zorn said that defensive end Phillip Danieis, who injured his left knee on the first play of 7 on 7 drills this morning, had "a bit of a hyperextension. We're trying to get him an MRI to see if there's any other damage. Right now, we'll just say it's a sprained knee and we don't know to what degree."
