Maria Teresa Thierstein Simões-Ferreira Heinz (born October 5, 1938), known as Teresa Heinz, is an American philanthropist, the widow of H. John Heinz III former U.S. Senator (R-Pennsylvania), and the wife of U.S. Senator John Kerry (D-Massachusetts).
