University of Utah President David Pershing emerges from a board of trustees closed executive session Tuesday, April 25, 2017, following discussions over the recent firing of Dr. Mary Beckerle, the CEO and director of the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Beckerle was fired last week was reinstated Tuesday following widespread outrage over the ousting.
