DeepSeek toes Chinese party line on Xi, Taiwan

The new Chinese artificial intelligence application DeepSeek adheres strictly to Chinese Communist Party restrictions for domestic AI companies and gives users propaganda answers to sensitive questions, according to an online analysis by a Silicon Valley AI security firm.

Noem confirmed as Trump’s DHS secretary

The Senate on Saturday voted for Kristi Noem to become President Trump’s Homeland Security secretary, giving him a loyal lieutenant at the helm of the department that will carry out his border and immigration plans.

Trump brushes off TikTok spying concerns

President Trump on Wednesday shrugged off national security concerns over TikTok, the app at the center of bipartisan law to ban it if its Chinese parent company doesn’t sell its ownership stake.

Trump orders 1,500 troops to border

The Pentagon said Wednesday it will deploy an initial round of 1,500 troops to the southern border, and will tap its resources to help Homeland Security with flights to deport illegal immigrants back to their home countries.
