OPINION:
So President Biden is considering preemptive pardons for the likes of former Rep. Liz Cheney et al. (“Biden weighs preemptive pardons for Cheney, Fauci, other Trump foes,” web, Jan. 8).
Why would he do such a thing? He must believe they are guilty of one or more crimes — otherwise, why the need for such a step?
We continue to witness the total erosion of any credible claim to a “blind” legal system. It seems perfectly clear that the only legal system consideration among Mr. Biden’s ilk is politics, period. And as he and his team move forward with such arrogance in their abuse of our legal system, there seems to be nothing any of us can do about it.
