California Gov. Gavin Newsom has proposed a state budget for 2025-2026 on the order of $322 billion, and it includes no deficits.

Here’s how he avoids responding to questions regarding that budget. Asked if he could guarantee that the proposed budget wouldn’t raise taxes, he replied, “As long as I’m around, I’m going to fight hard against that.”

To me that means, well, absolutely nothing. He may as well have said, “Oh, look, there are some clouds in the sky today.” And yes, we in California are all that stupid. That or we simply don’t care how much we pay in taxes because, by God, we’re getting our money’s worth.

Oh, but there’s more. Mr. Newsom recently went on to say, “We [California] are America, but in the future tense, the future happens here first. We are America’s coming attraction. California is the future, and we certainly are the future of the American economy, because we’re the tent pole of the American economy.”

Enough. This guy just has no off button, and his volume control knob is stuck at 10, not to mention the size of his arrogance and ego.

As I see it, the only real difference between Mr. Newsom and President-elect Donald Trump is about $5.5 billion and a hairdo.
