On Friday, President Trump sent a couple of planes filled with illegals from America back to their home country of Colombia. On Sunday morning, Trump learned that Colombian President Gustavo Petro turned away the planes and refused to allow them to land. Trump responded by vowing tariffs on all Colombian goods coming into the United States. By Sunday afternoon, Colombia’s president was welcoming the planes filled with migrants back to his country, a la open arms. Bang. Bam. Voila.

That’s the Trump Effect.

And it’s taking root and spreading faster than a card-carrying communist can scream, “Workers of the world, unite!”

As it was, Petro, a proud and loud socialist, had to direct his angst at Trump by way of X posts, made after the head-spinning speedy turn he made on the planes full of America’s illegals. Seriously, he changed his mind so fast that he probably needed vertigo medicine.

Sulking, he then took to social media.

“If you know anyone stubborn, that’s me,” Petro said in a video posted to X, Breitbart wrote.

“You [Trump] can try to carry out a coup with your economic strength and your arrogance, like they did with Allende. But I die in my law, I resisted torture and I resist you,” he said.

“You will kill me, but I will survive in my people, which is before yours, in the Americas. We are peoples of the winds, the mountains, the Caribbean Sea and of freedom,” he said.

(They’re also people of the sky, as in flying the friendly skies out of America, dontcha know. But that’s to digress.)

“Colombia is the first free territory of America, before Washington, of all America. My land is made of goldsmiths from the time of the Egyptian pharaohs, and of the first artists of the world in Chiribiquete,” Petro said.

The great thing about being a leftist is that you don’t have to worry about logic and reason and well, just plain ol’ thinking. They’re actually so far removed from logic that they’re teetering on the brink of psychotic.

It’s really no surprise, then — this headline from the Hindustan Times.

“Colombian President Petro having affair with trans woman? Old video sparks huge outrage amid Trump’s tariff threats,” the Hindustan Times reported.

Talk about an unfortunately untimely story.

“I know that you love beauty as I do,” Petro said, addressing Trump on social media. “Do not disrespect it and you will give it your sweetness.”

It was an unhinged rant.

But it’s illustrative of the unhinged mental states of leftists — of Democrats — who are still suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome from the 2017-2021 White House years, and who haven’t been at all able to grasp the truth that he’s back; that he’s back and bigger, faster, stronger than before; that he spent his first week making massive changes and by the looks of it, his second week promises to bring more of the same.

No more Diversity, Equity, Inclusion in the military.

No more transgender people in the military.

No more open borders — at all.

No more turning of blind eyes to the scores of illegals roaming America, committing crimes in America, bringing their gang-thug-drug-filled warfare to America.

No more putting legal and tax-paying American citizens second.

“Trump directs US government to override California water policies if necessary,” Reuters wrote in a headline about Gov. Gavin Newsom’s environmentalism that left Californians facing massive and damaging fires.

“Trump targets sanctuary cities in immigration raids,” FOX 13 just reported.

“Trump to reinstate service members discharged for not getting COVID-19 vaccine,” Fox News reported.

And finally, dear Colombia: “Trump suspends tariffs on Colombia after dispute over deported migrants is resolved,” Al Jazeera reported.

It’s a brave new America — bringing a brave new world. When America is strong, the beacon of liberty shines brightly. And it’s only taken a few days — a few hours — for that light to beam its warm glow around the world.
