The Washington National Cathedral prayer service on Inauguration Day was more than a disappointment to President Trump and the faithful who support him (“Trump demands apology from National Cathedral after bishop’s warnings on his policies,” Web, Jan. 22). It’s little wonder why congregants have left the Episcopal Church in droves; a radical liberalism has infested the denomination in recent years.

Mr. Trump is right to demand an apology from the Episcopal bishop who spoke at the Cathedral on Tuesday. In a video of the sermon posted on X, Rep. Mike Collins said, “The person giving this sermon should be added to the deportation list.”

The National Cathedral is a disgrace to the office of the president of the United States. As it is written in Proverbs 28:9, “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.”
