OPINION:
Before leaving office this week, now-former President Biden issued preemptive pardons to potential targets of the new Trump administration, including Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley and lawmakers who served on the House Jan. 6 Committee (“Biden gives last-minute preemptive pardons to his family, frees FBI killer from prison,” Web, Jan. 20). This is in addition to his other pardons, including the one he gave his disgusting son Hunter, whom I am amazed Biden didn’t also reinstate as a naval officer. Of course, he would fail his first drug test.
The silver lining in all this is that Congress can now hold hearings regarding these people’s illegal activities and force them to testify, as they cannot take the Fifth Amendment. Refusing to testify would run the risk of indefinite incarceration for contempt. If they lie, they run the risk of perjury charges.
I would love to hear Fauci admit that he lied about COVID-19’s origins and that he used National Institutes of Health funds to create the virus. Hunter Biden would have to admit that he funneled Chinese and Ukrainian money to his dad. The Biden historical legacy must be documented for posterity.
