President Biden in his farewell address to the nation warned that the power of America’s government was being concentrated within a small circle of select elites — that an “oligarchy” was “taking shape” — and that if the “ultraweathy” weren’t held in check, individual freedoms would disappear.

He said this days after awarding George Soros, the ultimate ultrawealthy oligarch-of-the-world-wanna-be, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.

The hypocrisy is so obvious it’s almost an insult to intelligence to mention.

Regardless, here’s what Biden said, during his final address to the nation: “I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern. And this is a dangerous — and that’s the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultrawealthy people, and the dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked. Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead.”

Well, he’s right that too much power has been concentrated in the hands of select elites who very often set their own interests above those of the American citizen. The concept of God-given liberties and rights that Founding Fathers provided has been tossed in the trash heaps, tagged as radical, and in its place now stands a governing compass called government-granted — meaning, Big Government players and their carefully selected partners get to give to citizens what liberties they deem proper; and oh yes, also take what liberties they deem improper. Individualism, with alarming frequency, is taking a back seat to collectivism. The liberties bestowed by our Creator — the rights of the individual that are supposed to be inherent at birth — are barely recognized, never mind protected or upheld, by many in today’s ruling political class.

So yes. Biden has a point. An oligarchy system has seeped into the government and it’s stealing American Exceptionalism.

But as Satan mixes 99 percent truth with one percent lie, so, too, Biden conveniently disregards the Democrat Party’s long-running, years-long push to lead America down a path of governing-by-elites; government by the few; government of Marxists and communists and socialists.

Biden conveniently ignores his own part in degrading the republic and giving rise to the rule of the ultra-rich. He talks of freedom — but rewards the rulers.

“George Soros,” he said, while announcing Soros as a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, “is an investor, philanthropist and founder of the Open Society Foundations. Through his network of foundations, partners and projects in more than 120 countries, Soros has focused on global initiatives that strengthen democracy, human rights, education and social justice.”

That’s one way to look at it. Another?

Soros is the guy whose money bought all those district attorneys in America who, in turn, refused to enforce laws and order, so that crime increased in their respective communities, and instead turned anti-MAGA eyes on Donald Trump and did what they could to weaponize the justice system.

Soros is the guy who financed to the tune of $140 million or more various political nonprofits in 2021; another $170 million during the 2022 midterm election cycle — all to Democrat campaigns and Democrat political action committees; and another $60 million in that same time frame to various charities with missions that align with leftist, Democrat, progressive agendas. As CNBC reported in January of 2023, these charities are 501(c)(3)s “which are prohibited from participating in politics.”

Kinda like dark money influences.

Kinda like what Biden warned against when he delivered his final address to the nation.

Even Democrats were shaking their heads.

“Now he tells us,” said Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat from Rhode Island, in a post on X. “Biden speaks out against dark money, for climate action and for SCOTUS term limits. I pressed four years for this speech.”

Soros is also on the march to buy up as much of the media world as he can.

“George Soros Fund Buys $400 Million Stake In 227 US Radio Stations Going Into 2024 Election,” Yahoo!Finance wrote in April.

“George Soros taking ‘shortcut’ to buy 200 US radio stations, FCC commissioner says,” NBC Montana reported in September.

“House Oversight probes FCC’s expedited approval of Soros purchase of 200+ radio stations ahead of election,” Fox News wrote in September.

“Chair Rodgers,” the House Energy & Commerce Committee posted in October, citing action taken by Rep. Cathy McMorris, “Leads House GOP in Demanding Answers Over FCC Fast-Tracing Democrat Mega-Donor’s Media Takeover Weeks Before Election.”

Team Biden sped through the approval for the Soros empire to purchase 200-plus radio station licenses from Audacy Inc. The deal, finalized with a 3-2 FCC vote, gave Soros, via his nonprofit Fund for Policy Reform, authority and control over the licenses — minus any public comment period.

“Never before has the Commission voted to approve the transfer of a broadcast license — let alone the transfer of broadcast licenses for over 200 radio stations across more than 40 markets — without following the requirements and procedures codified in federal law … without seeking public comment on altering our established regulations,” Republican FCC commissioner Brendan Carr said after the deal.

That’s a drop in the Soros media oligarchy bucket.

“George Soros tied to at least 54 influential media figures,” Fox News reported in 2023.

“George Soros is arguably the most influential liberal financier in the United States, donating more than $8 billion just to his Open Society Foundations … Since 2003, Soros has donated more than $52 million to all kinds of media outlets — liberal news organizations, investigative reporter and even smaller3 blogs,” MRC.org reported some time ago.

Oligarch?

No. Biden’s Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient.

Democrats — Biden — always talk a good game of liberty and transparency and accountability and constitutional freedoms. But they never seem to do what they speak. They only hate oligarchs when the oligarchs don’t do their bidding. Sadly, this Soros oligarch won’t be disappearing from the scene just because Biden is leaving office. His media empire only grows more influential. And that’s bad news for an America that’s taken a decided turn toward MAGA.
