To save the hostages, Israel should wait until President Donald Trump is our leader before making any diplomatic moves. Outgoing President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken have done nothing to have the hostages released since the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks in Israel, other than calling for an unrealistic cease fire.

Hamas cannot be trusted, per its false claim about the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital bombing in Gaza City and the exaggerated number of civilians killed. A more prudent approach would be for Hamas to provide the real number of living hostages and agree on a one-for-one
swap with Israel. If not, Israel and its allies should defeat Hamas and free the hostages and the people of Gaza.

It is important to make the Hamas terrorists who killed hostages face justice. What will happen if they kill another hostage? Under the current administration, nothing. Biden and Blinken have shown no interest in the hostages, American or otherwise.
