If the terror attacks of January, 2025, show anything, it’s that Americans need to wake up and smell the terrorism. There has been a long list of warnings of more terror to strike U.S. soil. But far too many have been ignoring the signs.
Truly, Barack Obama’s White House was a turning point in American safety.
“He has probably done more damage in America … in allowing the global jihad to take root in our backyard,” than any other president, said Israel Ellis, a geopolitical analyst with expertise in terrorism who’s written the recently released, “The Wake Up Call: Global Jihad and the Rise of Antisemitism in a World Gone MAD.”
Why Obama specifically?
“[He] was the gateway to the beginning to the dissonance of the liberal movement with regard to the jihadist intent,” Ellis says. “One of the first things he did in office was his body language, sort of bending the knee to Iran and Saudi Arabia [and that] just really scared me when I saw that and it was almost like a precursor of what was to come.”
With Donald Trump on the horizon to take over as commander-in-chief, America’s moved to a path of better security and more safety. But there is much to be done to turn the tide on all the factors that have fueled the growth of terrorism, internationally and domestically.
