The Washington Wizards’ hectic week continued Thursday morning, just hours before the NBA’s trade deadline.
The Wizards agreed to send guard Jared Butler and four second-round picks to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for guard Reggie Jackson and a first-round selection in 2026.
The trade is Washington’s third of the week as it rebuilds.
In the exchange with Philadelphia, Washington will gain the least favorable of three first-round picks — a selection owned by the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers or Oklahoma City Thunder, depending on next season’s standings.
Butler, 24, averaged 6.9 points per game in 32 games with the Wizards this season.
Jackson, a 34-year-old journeyman, posted just 4.4 points per game in his 31 appearances with the 76ers.
