Baltimore Ravens fan John “Jack” Callis pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree assault on Monday after a viral video showed him punching Commanders fans after October’s matchup between the teams.
Callis, who surrendered to authorities in October, was sentenced to serve five years of probation, 100 hours of community service and attend treatment programs. Judge Charles H. Dorsey III also ordered him to pay more than $4,000 in restitution, according to the Baltimore Banner.
“You’ve embarrassed us,” Dorsey said. “We love the Ravens.”
Callis lost his job as an insurance salesman after a video of the assault in Baltimore’s Federal Hill neighborhood attracted more than 50 million views on X.
The recording showed a man in a Lamar Jackson jersey throwing punches at a pair of fans in burgundy and gold Commanders jerseys.
The Ravens supporter knocked one victim to the ground with a right hook before shoving another person into a wall.
“I don’t lose,” the Baltimore fan, who internet sleuths and authorities later identified as Callis, says in the video while flexing his arm.
Police said one of the victims, both 23, suffered a concussion in the assault.
