A dancer who was detained after unfurling a flag supporting Palestine and Sudan during Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show will not face criminal charges, authorities said.

“The individual will [be] banned for life from all NFL stadiums and events,” NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said in a statement that deferred specific questions to authorities in New Orleans.

The protest arrived toward the end of rapper Kendrick Lamar’s 12-minute performance during the intermission of a blowout game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. The unidentified dancer stood on a prop car that was used earlier in the show and unfurled a flag that read “Gaza” and “Sudan.”

The NFL and show producer Roc Nation said they were not aware of the planned protest, which was orchestrated by a lone performer.

The protest did not appear on Fox’s television broadcast of the halftime show.

Videos on social media showed the protester jumping off the car and running from the field before being tackled by security guards.
