OPINION:
New York has a problem. Actually, it has two problems: Gov. Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James.
While the Empire State and the Big Apple face catastrophic exoduses of commerce and personnel (and a huge spike in crime), not to mention fiscal chaos, the governor and AG spent millions of dollars to conduct lawfare against now President-elect Donald Trump.
From the tone of the appellate court justices, this pursuit has made this dubious duo the laughingstock of the legal scene. These women’s irresponsible forays have only worsened and spread the infection of political ineptitude and galling governance.
The Empire State is now the Ailing State. The Big Apple is now the Rotten Apple. And, as with Nero when Rome was afire, Ms. Hochul and Ms. James are fiddling around as their state burns.
