Penn State’s police opened a probe after a viral video from Saturday showed former NFL center Jason Kelce smash a football fan’s phone.

The police department’s log noted potential criminal mischief and disorderly conduct charges after an “officer observed a visitor damaging personal property.” The investigation is ongoing.

The incident, which several bystanders recorded, occurred before Penn State faced Ohio State at Beaver Stadium. In the video, an unidentified fan called Kelce’s brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, a homophobic slur for his publicized relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift.

Jason Kelce responded by taking the fan’s phone and throwing it to the ground. “Who’s the f— now,” he taunted.

The former Philadelphia Eagle apologized on ESPN before Monday night’s game between the Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“I’m not proud of it,” the elder Kelce brother said. “In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I don’t think that’s a productive thing. I really don’t. … In that moment, I fell down to a level that I shouldn’t have.”
