OPINION:
A foreign gang member enters the United States illegally, commits a murder, is caught, tried, found guilty and sent to jail (“Venezuelan gangster convicted of murder, gets life in prison for killing Georgia student Laken Riley,” web, Nov. 20).
Now, for possibly half a century — or at least until some future judge overturns the sentence and paroles him — this felon who has no right to be here will be housed and fed at taxpayer expense.
Is this justice? It seems more like setting a precedent for allowing the world’s shiftless to come here, murder us and earn being kept. It’s not even common sense. If MAGA means anything, our courts will have to do better than this.
