There’s a new book to consider, just arrived from author, speaker and media kingpin Charlie Kirk: “Right Wing Revolution: How to Beat the Woke and Save the West.”

The book was published Tuesday.

“The United States of America has long been the lone beacon of freedom and sensibility in a chaotic world. Now, she is under threat from a lethal ideology that seeks to humiliate and erase anyone who does not bow at its altar. The threat in question? Wokeism. Charlie Kirk drags wokeism out of the shadows and details the exact steps needed to stop its toxic spread,” Winning Team Publishing said in advance notes for the book.

“’Right Wing Revolution’ is not a cautionary tale. Wokeism has already seeped into every aspect of American society. Instead, Charlie Kirk looks to inform and prepare every reader for the coming confrontation against one of the most existential threats the United States has ever faced,” said the publisher, which was co-founded in 2021 by Donald Trump Jr. and Sergio Gore, who serves as president.

They intend it to be a haven for conservative authors. Those authors include former President Donald Trump, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, U.S. Senate hopeful Kari Lake and former Judge Jeanine Pirro.

Mr. Kirk is the founder of Turning Point USA, a national student movement dedicated to identifying, organizing and empowering young people to promote the principles of free markets and limited government, according to its mission statement.

He is also the host of the podcast “The Charlie Kirk Show” and hosts a nationally syndicated daily radio show on the Salem Radio Network live from noon to 3 p.m. Eastern time.

THE BIG DEBATE BUZZ

The countdown is on for the first presidential debate, which is set for June 27 on CNN, will run 90 minutes and include two commercial breaks, but there will be no live studio audience. The sparring candidates are President Biden and former President Donald Trump, of course, though there is still a little media buzz that independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could qualify for the event.

Public interest is percolating, meanwhile.

“When Biden and Trump square off in next week’s presidential debate, 61% of Americans say they will watch all or most of the debate. 24% report they will not watch the debate but will pay close attention to the news coverage of the event. 14% will not watch or pay attention to the debate,” according to an analysis accompanying a new NPR/PBS News/Marist National Poll.

The survey was released Wednesday.

“Independents (56%) are less likely than Republicans (70%) or Democrats (67%) to say they will watch the presidential debate,” the analysis said.

’NOT GOING TO FALL FOR IT’

“Before Joe Biden took office, gas prices for the average motorist were at about $2.42 a gallon. Between Bidenomics, Bidenflation, and Joe’s war on energy, prices under his regime have consistently been about 40% higher,” wrote Bob Hoge, a contributor to RedState.com.

“But as the president sees his reelection prospects wane amid disastrous polling, he has a plan — dip into the nation’s strategic petroleum reserves (again) in a transparent ploy to convince the public that he cares about them. President Joe Biden is prepared to release more oil from the country’s strategic reserves if gas prices increase during the summer. This is the latest plan by the Biden administration to counter higher prices at the pumps and the more expensive prices on various goods due to inflation,” Mr. Hoge continued.

“A Biden administration energy adviser suggested gas prices are ’still too high’ for many in the country and said he favors taking action to ’cut them down a little bit further.’ How about you just stop your war on fossil fuels, perhaps that would lower gas prices. The strategic petroleum reserve was set up for a purpose,” he wrote.

“The Strategic Petroleum Reserve, the world’s largest supply of emergency crude oil was established primarily to reduce the impact of disruptions in supplies of petroleum products and to carry out obligations of the United States under the international energy program,” Mr. Hoge said, citing a definition from the Department of Energy’s website.

“Notice what is not mentioned as a reason for its creation: ’Improving your chances of reelection by an unhappy electorate.’ Biden had lowered the reserves during the midterm elections to its lowest levels since 1983, so he’s used this ruse before — in fact, he’s dipped into the reserves more than any other president before him,” the analyst said.

“The reserve was not meant to be a tool for presidents to bolster their reelection chances; it was designed to provide for the nation’s energy supply during disruptions such as war or natural disasters. Biden has used it as his own personal toy, and it’s because of his garbled energy policy and extreme push to transfer us to green energy when we’re not ready for it that we’re in this predicament in the first place. Voters aren’t going to fall for it,” Mr. Hoge later concluded.
