It’s a good time to be a Kelce brother. The pair of football stars turned social media sensations reportedly want $100 million for their “New Heights” podcast.
The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday that the Kelces are “seeking a deal in the $100 million range and have had discussions with Wondery.”
Wondery, a podcast network that features popular shows like “Smartless” and “Dr. Death,” has not confirmed the report.
The Kelce brothers started their podcast in 2022 while Travis was a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, for whom he still plays, and Jason played center for the Philadelphia Eagles, from whom he retired after last NFL season. The show surged in popularity last year when Travis started dating pop superstar Taylor Swift.
The podcast balances football discussion with the brothers’ more general pop-culture interests, including debates about cereals and movies.
The “New Heights” podcast regularly ranks among the top shows on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, where popular programs dominate niche offerings.
The gap between successful shows and flops is widening. The top 25 podcasts attract more than 50% of listeners, The Journal reported.
Even if they don’t close a nine-figure podcast deal, the Kelce brothers have had a busy offseason.
Travis has been spotted supporting Swift at Eras Tour stops in Germany and England. Jason, who will join ESPN in the fall, is cheering on Team USA at the Paris Olympics.
The duo even debuted their own cereal this month: Kelce Mix, produced by General Mills. The limited-edition product hits shelves in September. It features a blend of Reese’s Puffs, Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
“The only thing Travis and I know more about than football is cereal,” Jason said in a statement. “We’re honored to take home the victory and consider ourselves officially inducted into cereal culture with Kelce Mix.”
