OPINION:
The Supreme Court ruled last June that the Biden administration could not forgive student debt because the president did not have the authority to do so. This was a campaign promise to get votes; nothing more. Did President Biden listen to the Supreme Court and abide by their decision? No, he did not. The Biden administration canceled $5 billion in debt for 44,000 borrowers, many of whom worked in public sector jobs for more than a decade (“White House cancels $5B in student debt for 74K borrowers,” Web, Jan. 19). Did the Supreme Court take any action against President Biden? No, it did not.
The Supreme Court has just ruled that federal agents can cur razor wire placed by Texas law enforcement to let illegal immigrant invaders into the United States. Texas is fighting this and telling the Biden administration it will not allow its agents access to the area to cut the wire. Texas needs to stand strong and refuse to allow more illegal invaders in. What will the Supreme Court do to Texas?
Since the court has done nothing to Biden over student loan debt, Texas needs to fight Biden on the border issue and tell the court to take a hike. The court is wrong on this issue and will do nothing to enforce its decisions. Chief Justice John Roberts is not a very good leader and is more concerned about his Washington reputation than his dedication to the Constitution.
I encourage Texas and other border states to fight and secure their own borders and legal residents.
