The American people can rest easy now that President Biden has assured us the classified documents found in his garage were actually safe because that’s where he keeps his Corvette (“Biden’s Delaware home is now a player in document drama,” Web, Jan. 13). After all, it’s a Corvette, not a Ford Focus — right?

It might be a bridge too far to suggest that Barack Obama, too, ought to be investigated for mishandling classified files. While Peter Strzok is no longer with the FBI, I am quite sure a suitable group of upstanding FBI agents such as the ones who ordered the arrests of Peter Navarro and Roger Stone could be enlisted for the task. Perhaps Ray Epps?

The geniuses in the Biden administration have told us that upon finding the classified documents, they told the Justice Department right away. Case closed. However, as in the Clinton saga, it’s the initial act — in this case, the mishandling of confidential material — that is the problem (or crime, if attributed to Donald Trump). There is a reason why Washington is called the swamp.
