Actor Mark Ruffalo, who seems to believe that he is a world-renowned scientist and engineer, has now decreed from his kitchen that all of you waitresses, bus drivers and cashiers using natural-gas stoves should dip into one of your several offshore bank accounts and get an electric induction stove at a cost of around $3,000. Oh, yeah — and you’ll have toss all of your pots and pans, because they probably won’t work on an induction stove.

This notion is a logical extension of California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s ordering each of his minimum-wage subjects to toss their fossil-fuel vehicles into a landfill and buy a $50,000 electric vehicle by 2035. Oh, but don’t you dare charge your new car, because the electrical grid in California can’t handle the strain.

Mr. Ruffalo, who is in reality a mediocre cartoon character and B-grade actor, and Mr. Newsom, also a mediocre cartoon character, have cotton balls for brains. Real Americans with real jobs, however, aren’t listening to these fools. We’ll keep our gas stoves, thank you very much, because they’re a better choice for us. But you can’t grasp the concept of individual choice, can you? It’s a freedom thing — you two wouldn’t understand.

Mark, Gavin, listen up. America is over lying buffoons like you. Get used to being disappointed, boys.
