Former President Barack Obama announced Sunday on social media that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Mr. Obama said he had been vaccinated and boosted, as had former first lady Michelle Obama, who has tested negative.

“I just tested positive for COVID. I’ve had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise,” he said.

The two-term Democratic president called his positive test “a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.”
