Former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani knows how to troll a liberal audience.

Mr. Giuliani, now best known in left-leaning circles as former President Donald Trump’s lawyer, appeared in this week’s episode of the Fox network show “The Masked Singer” performing a hit sure to tweak the entertainment-world judges.

He sang “Bad to the Bone,” a big hit in the 1980s for George Thorogood, in which the singer brags about his womanizing and other misdeeds.

In a detail that had leaked some weeks ago, celebrity judges Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong walked off in protest.

“I’m done,” Mr. Jeong said.

Despite Mr. Jeong and Mr. Thicke’s walkout, fellow judges Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger remained and shared some banter with the mayor who led New York through and past the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

While the live audience was incredulous, liberals watching the show live fumed at Mr. Giuliani existing on TV and praised the walkouts, according to tweets collected by conservative broadcaster Steven Crowder.

“Thank you for walking off the set, @kenjeong — and shame on the brainless twits who thought the appearance of the despicable traitor Rudy Giuliani was all in good fun,” veteran Democratic operative Jon Cooper wrote.

Another Twitter user screamed in all capital letters: “can we please stop putting traitors like Rudy Giuliani on shows like ‘The Masked Singer’??? Stop normalizing criminals.”

Parker Molloy, a former Media Matters for America editor, fumed that “he should be in prison.”
