Chad Johnson dipped his toes in the world of professional boxing.
The flamboyant former NFL wide receiver ended up on the canvas.
Fighting in an exhibition on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather’s fight against Logan Paul, Johnson was knocked down in the fourth round Sunday by Brian Maxwell at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. No winner was declared since Johnson’s fight was also an exhibition, but the six-time Pro Bowler took a pretty hard shot:

Johnson survived the round, which happened to be the final of the fight. Afterward, the 43-year-old seemed proud of hanging in there.
“My life has always been about taking chances and doing crazy stuff — this was on my bucket list,” Johnson said. “This was a message to everyone out there: Don’t be scared to take chances. Don’t be afraid to fail. It’s OK.”
With one fight in the books, Johnson called out MMA superstar Conor McGregor next. Naturally.Â
