ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (AP) - A Tennessee man was arrested Friday on charges of murdering his 4-month-old daughter, officials said.
Paul Morgan Beard, 29, of Johnson City, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the 2019 death of Kenlyn Beard of Elizabethton, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said. A Carter County grand jury indicted Beard on the charges on Tuesday.
The TBI and detectives with the Elizabethton Police Department began investigating the child’s injuries on Sept. 13, 2019. She died five days later of her injuries.
Beard was booked into the Carter County Jail on a $250,000 bond, the TBI said in a news release.
