O’FALLON, Mo. (AP) - An investigation continues after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 70 in the St. Charles County town of O’Fallon.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the accident happened about 1 p.m. Sunday and forced the shutdown of all westbound lanes for more than three hours. No information about the victim has been released.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said one report indicated that someone ran from a vehicle into oncoming traffic and was struck.
