DETROIT (AP) - The COVID-19 vaccine is worth $10 for Wayne State University students.
The school said it will add cash to students’ accounts if they show by May 7 that they’ve had at least one shot, the Detroit Free Press reported.
“We are providing an extra incentive - although the best incentive is your good health,” President M. Roy Wilson said in an email to students Wednesday.
A majority of fall classes at the Detroit university are expected to be offered in a traditional face-to-face setting.
“Unfortunately, the COVID-19 numbers in Michigan are currently at an unacceptably high level,” Wilson said. “The best way to ensure a return to campus in September is to get a vaccination if you haven’t yet done so.”
