Bruce Springsteen told fans this week that he anticipates the end of a “f—-ing nightmare” experience on Election Day.
The singer/activist kicked off a SiriusXM Halloween broadcast this week by lamenting President Trump’s tenure as commander in chief.
“It is time for an exorcism in our nation’s capital,” the “Hungry Heart” singer said Wednesday. “Welcome to our Halloween/Election Day monster mash. This is Vol. 14 of ’From My Home to Yours’ titled ’Farewell to the Thief.’ In just a few days, we’ll be throwing the bums out.”
The nearly six-hour broadcast included numerous songs and commentary about the lack of culture, from Mr. Springsteen’s perspective, in the White House.
“I thought it was a f—-ing nightmare but it was so true,” he said.
“The Boss” went on to warn listeners that “the greatest threat to democracy in my lifetime” was at hand due to “brainwashed” Trump supporters who subscribe to “phony patriotism” and “fear of a Black planet.”
