BEAR, Del. (AP) - A man died Friday during a fire at his home in Bear, the Office of the State Fire Marshal said.

Firefighters responded to the single-story home around 6:30 a.m., the News Journal of Wilmington reported. Firefighters reported seeing smoke coming from the home when they arrived at the scene.

Officials did not immediately release the man’s name.



The fire marshal’s office is working to determine the cause of the blaze, which they estimate caused damages of $200,000.
