COLETA, Ill. (AP) - Officials reported some damage, including a destroyed machine shed and downed power lines, after at least two tornadoes touched down Saturday afternoon in northwest Illinois.

The National Weather Service confirmed one tornado touched down in Whiteside County near Coleta around 2:15 p.m., according to Sauk Valley Media.

Another tornado touched down near Chana around 4:30 p.m., according to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Department.



Authorities reported downed power lines, scattered debris and one destroyed machine shed.
