ROCKPORT, Maine (AP) - Maine’s annual trade show for fishermen and the seafood industry is coming to an end with discussions about lobster boat races, the Atlantic cod population and more.

Sunday is the last day of this year’s Maine Fishermen’s Forum in Rockport. The event brings together fishermen, food industry professionals, regulators and scientists to talk about the future of the state’s lifeblood industry.

Events on Sunday’s schedule include the pre-season meeting for Maine’s lobster boat race circuit. There’s also a seminar entitled “Reconsideration of Atlantic cod stock structure in U.S. waters.” There will also be dozens of vendors, exhibits and talks.

The event happens every year at the Samoset Resort in Rockport.
