TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) - A Topeka woman has been charged with second-degree murder after a man was shot to death during the weekend.

Raishawn Smith-Parker, 47, was charged Wednesday in the death of Kelly Parker, 51, who was found shot to death at a Topeka home on Saturday, Shawnee County District Attorney Mike Kagay said.

Smith-Parker was being held on $500,000 bond, The Topeka Capital-Journal reported.

Parker died from a gunshot wound to the head, apparently after a domestic disturbance, police said.

Smith-Parker is scheduled to appear March 12 at a scheduling hearing.
