COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) - A plant in Mississippi will be making $122.6 million worth of helicopters for the Army.

The contract addition for Airbus Helicopters Inc. of Grand Prairie, Texas, was in a list of military contracts released Tuesday evening.

It said the 15 UH-72 Lakota light utility helicopters will be made at the Airbus plant in Columbus, Mississippi, with an expected completion date of Aug. 31, 2022.

The order modifies a contract signed in 2018, and the money is from Army aircraft procurement funds in the fiscal 2018 budget.

Airbus Helicopters Inc. is a division of a company with global headquarters in Leiden, the Netherlands. Its main office is in Blagnac, a suburb of Toulouse, France.
