LAKE CITY, Fla. (AP) - A tornado uprooted trees and downed power lines Sunday in a rural part of north Florida, according to the National Weather Service.
The twister touched down about 3:35 p.m. south of Lake City near Interstate 75, said meteorologist Kirsten Chaney in the weather service’s Jacksonville office. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Much of Florida has undergone stormy weather while Tropical Storm Cristobal made its way through the Gulf of Mexico. Another tornado was reported in Orlando on Saturday, but no one was injured there either.
