Jabari Parker seen playing tennis after COVID-19 diagnosis

Three days after he announced he had tested positive for COVID-19, Sacramento Kings forward Jabari Parker was seen playing tennis at a park in Chicago.

TMZ published photographs of Parker playing the sport at Longfellow Park in Chicago. In the photos, Parker, who spent part of last season with the Wizards, is not wearing a mark.

Last week, Parker was one of three Kings players — guard Buddy Hield and center Alex Len are the others — to test positive for the coronavirus. The 25-year-old confirmed his diagnosis in a statement.

“Several days ago I tested positive for COVID-19 and immediately self-isolated in Chicago which is where I remain,” Parker said Wednesday. “I am progressing in my recovery and feeling well. I look forward to joining my teammates in Orlando as we return to the court for the resumption of the NBA season.

The CDC recommends self-isolating for 10 days after a positive test, and have at least three days without symptoms (fever, shortness of breath) before going out in public.

It is not publicly known if Parker had met the 10-day standard before going out to play tennis.

The Kings said in a statement they are aware of the photos and are gathering more information.
