POLO, Mo. (AP) - A historic building that once housed an opera theater in Missouri collapsed Wednesday after storms blew through the area.

No one was hurt and no one was inside at the time when the building in downtown Polo, Missouri, gave way overnight, according to Caldwell County Emergency Management.

KCTV reported that local police say the collapse was likely the result of the structure’s age, combined with the overnight storms and rainfall.

A sales listing for it said it was built in 1897 and houses an old opera theater upstairs.
